About Dr. Justin Weiss
Currently a clinician at Rose City Counseling Center, Justin Weiss earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute with a focus in Depth Psychology such as Psychoanalytic and Jungian Psychology. He completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship at an American Psychological Association accredited multicultural counseling center in Los Angeles.
He is a professor at California State University, Northridge where he teaches topics relating to culture and diversity. His research on resilience focuses on how adversity provides opportunities for personal and societal transformation, which has been presented at various conferences such as the Society of Humanistic Psychology and the American Psychological Association Annual Convention.
Having a passion for multiculturalism and social justice, he currently serves as a scholar on the American Psychological Association Division 39 (Psychoanalysis) Multicultural Concerns Committee and collaborated to form the Civil Discourse and Social Change Program at California State University, Northridge. He practices primarily from a relational psychoanalytic, depth psychological approach to help individuals and couples maximize their potential by understanding how symptoms can inform one’s path towards self-discovery and personal transformation.

Concept
